Peace Now supports Palestinian demands for all of East Jerusalem, for as everyone knows, that is the KEY to PEACE. One problemo: Chanukah celebrates the rededication of a Jewish building in EAST JERUSALEM. Such a celebration contradicts the PN's Arab clients' contention that the Mount was Islamic since Creation. There is no way any Peace Now member can celebrate Chanukah without being hypocritical! Hey, that would mean that the Temple Mount is Jewish (gasp), the opposite of everything their Arab friends believe.
I do beleive you have possibly unwittingly created a new branch of biological science: "Backhanded Positiveness".
It has interesting ramifications on how we, the People of the Land, can survive in relative happiness in an otherwise somewhat gloomy regional atmosphere.
Hag Hannukah Sameach to all the People of the Land - both here in body and here in spirit.
And said building includes archeological evidence that it was indeed part of a Jewish kingdom, contrary to the Temple deniers' assertions. I was reminded of that with the news story of a seal that was uncovered that links the seal to the Temple.
FWIW, the Recession in the US ended 2 1/2 years ago. Since then the economy has been growing slowly. Real estate prices in my part of New York City are now where they were before the 2008 crash.
MAN, THAT'S REALLY COOL!!! The Mount being said to be Islamic since Creation. WOWOWOWOW. Especially since Islam did not appear on the scene until 750 AD. (That's 750 years after Christ, ya'll) Islam is the "Johnny-come-lately" but it wants to tell everybody else what to do. They say that since they are the last to come, they are the most authoritative. If I go to a Muslims house and tell them I am the rightful owner because I am the last to come, they would throw me out or worse, whatchawannabet? ;-) Bones, you always have reason to be positive, YOUR G-d IS G-d and He will protect you and all Israel. I feel sorry for all who deny Him to their own destruction.
I started Dry Bones in Jan 1973. Since then I've been known as "Bones" to friends and colleagues. This is the first time I've ever shared the "stories behind the cartoons." Enjoy. more
