Israeli Traffic Signs (1975)

October 10, 1975
The Israeli Cartoon Museum has decided to produce a travelling exhibit of Dry Bones cartoons. So the LSW (Long Suffering Wife) and I have been going through the more than 7,000 Dry Bones cartoons to select what should go into the show and catalog. The LSW suggested that I share some of our selections with you. So here's one of them. It's from 1980, is one of her favorites, and is Today's Golden Oldie.

This is wonderful! We don't have many of these signs in the US and when I arrived here I was confused. Thanks for the explaination.
Actually tried the"back in" manouver, got a 500 shekel ticket.
Very funny! (Especially, 120 -- You should live so long)!
someone should teach these authentic signs to that cop who tried to stop me reversing down Agrippas Street this morning- it's only 250 metres.
.... thanks for helping me smile every morning>. :)
Haha, didn't know Israelis paid attention to trafic signs at all :)
Hi Mr K.
Great to see this Golden Oldie. How about the "You Know You've Been in Israel Too Long When...". I've been waiting for ages to see them again.(You said you'd think about it some time ago.) I have lost my precious originals I'd kept from the International issues of the JP and from when I was a volunteer on Kibbutz Machanayim in October 1973. Does anyone else remeber them?
The 120 is close to one we need that is "get on the horn and stomp on the gas"!
Wonderful. Didn't realize that you created the road signs that most Israeli's obey. Israeli drivers don't make my day but you do!
Yaakov,
This one is a winner
It made me laugh out loud.
You are the best!

I took a tourist around for a tiyul today and perpetrated 4, explained and justified at least 3 to her and ignored the rest of your signs.
Just another regular day in the Tel Aviv traffic jungle!!!
Shabbat Shalom to all Ddry Boners
What a hoot! My favorite one to date! Russ Melby
Wow! Too funny. We don't have those signs here in the US but you'd think we did because this is just how the people drive here anyway. WORSE, in fact! :-)
Thanks for the good laugh.
